213 - It's Corn That Tastes Like Candy, and Mr. Brown Has A Gun And Doesn't Know When To Use It 1/5 Of The Time

Mr. Brown
I love candy corn
Nothing like straight sugar.
2:12 PM Mr. Blue
Sugar + candle wax
2:21 PM Mr. Silver
And "flavor".
"Its kind of a blend of caramel and a smell I kept detecting after I fell and hit my head really hard once."
2:29 PM Mr. Brown
lol

Mr. Brown
I still don't know why people are surprised I have a handgun
LOL
8:01 AM Mr. Blue
Like who?
8:01 AM Mr. Brown
People always joke around like I shouldn't have one.
8:01 AM Mr. Blue
Do you carry it a lot?
8:02 AM Mr. Brown
No
Just when I get that feeling I should.
8:02 AM Mr. Silver
You've managed to evolve into a character perceived as death prone.
Add a gun to your character and it's sitcom city.
8:03 AM Mr. Brown
LOL
I will never ever pull it on anybody unless its needed as a last resort, because once they know you have it, you have to use it.
8:03 AM Mr. Silver
You do?
8:03 AM Mr. Brown
In most cases, yes.
8:03 AM Mr. Silver
Do you watch a lot of TV and movies, Mr. Brown?
8:03 AM Mr. Brown
The situation to use it normally means the other person is ready to kill you.
They see it, they will come at you or shoot first.
8:04 AM Mr. Silver
Blofeld "I think we all understand that, Mr. Bond."
8:04 AM Mr. Brown
Now if you get a chance that you pull it and it actually intimidates, then you are lucky.
8:05 AM Mr. Silver
The majority of the local world is NOT going to rush at a gun.
8:05 AM Mr. Brown
Normally you not going to pull it on that majority.
Its the other small %.
8:06 AM Mr. Silver
Well you said, however, that once they know you have it, you have to use it.
8:07 AM Mr. Gray
Morning
8:07 AM Mr. Brown
Mr. Gray, do you think you should not pull a gun until that point where you probably would have to use it?
8:08 AM Mr. Brown
Remember Mr. Silver, I have trouble writing my thoughts out.
8:08 AM Mr. Gray
I'll pull a gun on someone before that. Wait too long and its too late.
8:08 AM Mr. Silver
(editor's note - Mr. Gray enters the conversation as Mr. Brown nuances his statements)
8:10 AM Mr. Brown
Well, I guess its the problem of “once you pull it, everybody knows you have it”.
8:10 AM Mr. Blue
Who is "everybody"?
8:10 AM Mr. Silver
"Them"
8:11 AM Mr. Blue
I guess my thinking is there is no "everybody".
8:11 AM Mr. Silver
Perhaps he means "your opponent".
"Everybody" makes it sound like peer pressure.
8:12 AM Mr. Brown
I suggesting when somebody comes at you to kill you, or pulls a gun on you.
8:12 AM Mr. Silver
At which point that somebody decided that since you know about his gun, he now has to use it on you.
8:12 AM Mr. Blue
You're not wealthy, nor wealthy-looking. You're not an attractive woman, or elderly. You're not someone "they" are even going to want to target. If anything, "they" might be afraid of you.
8:12 AM Mr. Brown
In Walmart, for example, you pull yours right away and start shooting. Then you get shot by somebody else, thinking its you going crazy.
If you can get out of it without pulling your gun, it's probably better.
8:12 AM Mr. Silver
"Oooo...he pulled a gun...now he HAS to shoot."
The violence equivalent of "He kissed her, now they have to get married."
8:12 AM Mr. Blue
Are shootings in Walmart really a serious issue?
8:12 AM Mr. Brown
Its just a example.
8:13 AM Mr. Blue
I understand anything can happen anywhere, but the chances are so minimal it's probably not even worth carrying a gun.
Concealed carriers probably shoot themselves more than they shoot others.
8:13 AM Mr. Brown
I don't carry all the time .
Like I said, its when thinking about where I’m going, I get that feeling I should.
8:14 AM Mr. Blue
You have to play the odds, I think, like anything. Are you more likely to protect yourself or hurt yourself with a gun? I don't know what those kind of statistics indicate, but I know that there are always stories of people accidentally shooting themselves. Guns accidentally going off, or someone losing their temper and using a gun when they shouldn't have.
8:15 AM Mr. Brown
That’s the other thing; with pulling it, you could kill somebody else by accident if you're not aware of your surroundings in a incident, if one should occur.
8:15 AM Mr. Silver
I flash rage.  I'll not be carrying a gun anywhere but a shooting range, thank you.
8:16 AM Mr. Blue
I have a ridiculous temper, and I do stupid stuff. In hockey, I use my stick as a weapon. I’m bound to use a gun as one too.
I tomahawk-chopped some guy on the wrist last night just because he bumped into me.
I’m really dumb.
8:18 AM Mr. Brown
Yeah, if you don't have control a gun is not a good idea.
LOL
You've got to be in control 80% of the time.
8:18 AM Mr. Blue
The guy on our hockey team that has fought the most carries a gun.
8:18 AM Mr. Gray
I do too, but hey, better that I have one if someone else rages with one. LOL
8:32 AM Mr. Silver
Did you just say back there that you only have to be in control 80% of the time with a gun?
8:42 AM Mr. Silver
Not counting sleep, of course, that makes you a loose cannon about 3 hours and 12 minutes a day.
8:57 AM Mr. Brown
Yeah, that was a bad %.
